• American Idol Season 11 Finale Rocked with Brilliance

  Love, passion, happiness, romance, joy, sadness, surprise and much more, the grand finale of ‘American Idol’ Season 11 showed almost all the emotions at one stage. Wednesday was the time when the world was waiting to hear the name of the new ‘Idol’. But there wasn’t only one winner of the evening. Surprised? There was one who won the millions of hearts through his electrifying performance in season 11 and then there was one who won the heart and hearts by his romantic expressions. Ok… no more puzzles. The winner of American Idol season 11 was Phillip Phillips who got a record-high 132 million votes after his final performance on Tuesday. This 21-year pawn shop worker from Georgia defeated his fellow contestant Jessica Sanchez, a high school girl in the competition. After the victory was declared, Phillip took the audience to “Home” which would be his first post-winning single. He got very emotional and thanked the fans and crew for their support and votes. Before the ‘Idol’ champion was crowned, host Ryan Seacrest took a moment and called American Idol alums Ace Young and Diana DeGramo on stage to know about their moving together plans. And this was the time when love, romance and again a new surprise aired in the Nokia Theatre. Ace thanked American Idol to be his home and proposed Diana on the stage with a spectacular gemstone engagement ring. So in all Wednesday was a memorable day in the history of American Idol. Season 11 has ended with some remarkable brilliance. Ace and Diana titled the first engaged couple and Phillip was the fifth male in a row to win the ‘American Idol’ title.

Looking at the sun with naked eyes or through photographic or X-ray film, or with sunglasses can be seriously damaging instead one can view this natural spectacle with the help of some devices especially made for this purpose. Some such things are pinhole projector, welder’s glass, or glasses made especially for solar observation. It is said that the Sun will be 76 percent covered in Seattle. But if the sky is overcast as is a prediction for the day then the clouds can block the view of watching the solar eclipse. Meteorologist Dana Felton of the National Weather Service has forecasted that we are going to have the clouds making the 76-percent eclipse barely noticeable. Mark Folkerts, president of the Everett Astronomical Society echoed the sentiments but he said that just in case the clouds part, there is a chance that one can see the sun but he warned that looking directly at the eclipse would cause eye damage within seconds. He said a better option is to look at the crescent shadows on the ground, for instance where filtered sunlight passes between tree branches, he suggests. If you are will to travel to get a view of this celestial event then one can go to Spokane, as here weather conditions are predicted to be better. In Spokane the Sun will be 72 percent covered at 6:19 p.m. Reports are that viewing sites are being set up in the Spokane area to provide eye-protection filters and telescopes to the public.
